The Parking Lot Question

The money fans pay to park at Dodgers games goes to the new ownership group. There it is, Frank McCourt will not be getting any part of the parking fees. It is unfortunate that McCourt and new ownership did enter into a deal on the developing of the lots. McCourt would get money on future development of the lots when and if that time comes.

Under terms of the deal, no development would take place on the lots unless the Johnson group and McCourt agree. The deal also ensures that McCourt can retain partial ownership of the lots and share in any future development revenue. – Bill Shaikin

Also new ownership is NOT in control yet until the sale closes which is scheduled for April 30. The U.S. Bankruptcy Court is set to approve the sale agreement on April 13.
