Exclusive Interview With Josh Macciello
This past Saturday I had the opportunity to sit down for an exclusive interview with Dodgers bidder Josh Macciello. There has been a lot of discussion on whether his bid is for real or should he be taken seriously by MLB. Josh and I have talked on and off camera and I can verify everything that he presented to me that day. I saw
- Proof of funds – HSBC HK with a deposit of $10 Billion available Free and Clear. Funds are being transferred to the U.S. and will be available 2/20/12
- The $2.2 Billion bid to purchase the Dodgers that was put into escrow
- Background information on his partners Fred Furrow and Myung Ho Lee
- Email messages from The Blackstone Group
- Messages from a potential baseball business partner that he cannot name at the moment
I can verify that his bid is legit and in the hands of MLB at the moment. Will they accept it, that remains to be seen, but I have no doubt that everything that was presented to me was real. I do hope that MLB lets him participate in the auction. We need the best people to move forward. We need the people that are going to care about the team, the fans, the city and bringing championships to Los Angeles. The bidders that are seeing this as another business transaction need not apply.
Below is my interview with Josh Macciello
Josh also did an interview with Tom Hoffarth you can read <<Here>>

last thing we need is another loudmouth owning the team. he is unprofessional. speaking entirely too much about the process on radio and television, he talks about the brian stow situation too much saying he is going “to do the right thing” and that could get him into some big trouble if the judge rules in stows favor and his bid reminds me too much of Frank mccourts. Mccourt traded what he owned to buy the team and had no extra money to fix it. Lets just hope magics group ends up owning the squad because theyre local, they are proven developers and successful businessmen, and theyre proven winners.
What do you expect him to do? How do expect people to know who he is if he doesnt talk about himself? remember, no ONE knew who the hell Arte Moreno was until 5 minutes before he bought the Angels…Give him a chance…
Thank you other guys for all your continued support! Go Blue and thats TRUE BLUE!
Josh some simple questions for you..
Do you love the game of Baseball? Do you know the game of Baseball? Did you play as a kid? Do you love the Dodgers & it’s rich history and what it means to LA? Most of all do you want to win and will you spend the money neccesary to achieve that? You can’t fake it with LA Dodger fans……
Awesome interview!!! You are exactly what this team needs…. Go Josh love your approachability and your passion and the boys got game!!! Thank you for being so transparent and NEVER giving up because that’s how winning is done…Let’s play ball!!
Also, in every interview you have made yourself very available to the questions asked. Not quite sure how much more you can “show” yourself thank you for that….I have been following you since the beginning and feel I know everything there is to know about the next Dodger owner.
First of all, I have way more money to back me than Magics group. And what was Magic a winner in? Basketball thats right. And how old is Kasten? oh yeah like almost 80 thats right. How many world series does he have more than me? oh just ONE. Come on man i can give the Stow family money because I can afford to and its the right thing to do and you judge me for wanting to do a kind act?? For helping a guy who almost lost his life at a Dodger game. All i can say is I hope TRUE DODGER fans are more understanding and would put themselves in the Stows family’s shoes. How would you want to be treated? I sure hope you would want someone stepping up for you like I am willing to do for them.
if its true you feel like you want to give money to brian stow then whats stopping you? go ahead and help him pay hi medical bills now. I feel like you are just using his condition to get all fans on your side. if you have more money than magics group go ahead and do what you feel is the right thing. Pay up.
I am loving Josh and everything he would love to do as an owner. It is everything we need and want as Dodger Fans. My only question to Josh is, what happened to the order to keep the bidding process confidential? You are really open with details (compared to everyone else). Do you think that may turn off the powers that be?
